ZORLUTEKS MILESTONES
Foundation: Zorlu Textile Group was founded in Denizli in 1953 by Mehmet Zorlu.
Textile trade started with the store opened in Trabzon.
After the knowledge and experience gained in Trabzon, they moved to Istanbul and contract manufacturing began.
Korteks Velvet Weaving Facility was established in Bursa. Curtain sales started under the Taç brand.
Korteks home textile products started to be exported as the first official export.
Zorlu Embroidery Factory was established in Lüleburgaz.
Bed linen production started under the Taç brand in Lüleburgaz.
First Step in Retailing: Linens' first store was opened.
Linens' first overseas store was opened in Ukraine in 2001.
Valeron brand was established and entered the upper segment.
In its 40th year, TAÇ brand reached 500 stores in Turkey and 100 stores abroad.
Sustainability Vision: Zorluteks started to implement sustainability-oriented projects. It aimed to add value to society through environmentally friendly production processes and corporate social responsibility projects. In line with our sustainability vision, innovative products were introduced to the market.
Selected as the most loved home textile brand. Istanbul Design Center was established.
Sustainability Report: It brought its environmental, social, and economic impacts transparently to its stakeholders with the sustainability report published once a year.
This report revealed Zorluteks' sustainability understanding and goals.
Zorlu Textile introduced its products with a reduced carbon footprint for the first time within the scope of the "Reborn" collection.
Zorluteks launched the nature-friendly TAÇ Reborn Organic Satin Bed Linen Collection, prepared with satin fabrics produced from 100% organic cotton.
Future Goals: Zorluteks continues to take strategic steps to contribute to sustainable development in line with its Smart Life 2030 goals.
