R&D and Design Centers

Zorluteks; while forming its strategic goals, acts with the desire to protect and maintain its leading manufacturer position that it possesses by adapting rapidly to changing world conditions in the current competitive environment. To be able to reach this goal, it continues its studies to constantly develop and use in the most efficient way the necessary innovation along with current knowledge and technology, and to ensure the branding of products to be produced in this direction, to increase its competitive power and to reach new markets/customers with innovative products in order to develop its leading position in world textile trade. To be able to turn this goal into a continuous way of doing business, it has established 1 R&D Center and 1 Design Center.

Zorluteks’s 2030 and long-term 2050 Sustainability Strategies have also been added to the strategies of the R&D and Design Center. 30% of the projects conducted within the centers directly serve sustainability goals in environmental, social and economic fields.

Zorluteks R&D and Design Centers are working from today to build Zorluteks’s future position with the motto “more innovation.

The Istanbul Design Center, located in Zorluteks’s Istanbul Headquarters, was approved by the R.T. Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2017.

The main strategies of the Design Center are;

• ● To conduct new design projects,
• ● To carry out collaborations for the purpose of developing design activities,
• ● To increase qualified human power in the field of design,
• ● To increase the resources allocated to design activities,
• ● To design products in accordance with the Ecodesign Directive framework.

In accordance with these main strategies, the focus areas of the projects carried out by the R&D Center are;

• ● Design of innovative home textile products,
• ● Design of home textile products that provide convenience during use,
• ● Design of new product ranges that will reduce environmental impacts caused by products starting from the design stage,
• ● Implementation of the design of technical/electronic textiles produced as prototypes by the R&D Center in accordance with home textiles.
